Here at Witchford Village College, we hope to offer a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities through a timetabled programme over the year. Our vision and goal is to offer every student a vibrant and diverse programme which will enrich our students to pursue their passion and interests.
The college day often extends to 3:45pm for those students who wish to stay for after-school activities or additional subject support, where late buses run on a regular basis every Monday to Thursday.
We are planning on bringing Witchford Village College to the forefront of extra-curricular activities, therefore every curriculum area will be offering afterschool sessions and we will continue to develop other opportunities throughout the year – for example, Sports Leaders UK Awards and Duke of Edinburgh, as well as amazing opportunities to represent the college in performance arts and an array of sporting disciplines.
The vibrant programme will also help our students stand out from the 'rest' and ensure our students achieve their absolute best. Each curriculum area, alongside form tutors, will recommend sessions that will be useful if a student needs additional support or clarification in a specific area, or in general has a passion they want to pursue.
Students can also drop into extra-curricular study support sessions themselves if they are feeling overwhelmed or need assistance.
A full listing is attached at the bottom of this page of our current extra-curricular programme.
There is a late bus home everyday. These leave the site at 4.15pm. Students should only get on the late bus if they have been to an after college club or intervention session.
