ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY

PRINCIPLES OF TRAINING

SOCIO-CULTURAL INFLUENCES In this unit, you will learn about the Factors Affecting Participation, Commercialisation in Sport and Ethical Issues in Sport. |
SPORT PSYCHOLOGY In this unit, you will learn about the Characteristics of Skills, Goal Setting, Mental Preparation and Types of Guidance & Feedback.

HEALTH, FITNESS & WELL-BEING In this unit, you will learn about the Physical, Social & Emotional Health, Sedentary Lifestyles and Diet & Nutrition. |
2 X 1-HOUR EXAMINATIONS (60%) 60% of the course is assessed with 2 x 1-Hour Exams at the end of Year 11. These exams will be split into the following: Paper 1 - Anatomy & Physiology & Physical Training Paper 2 - Socio-Cultural Influences, Sport Psychology & Health, Fitness & Well-Being. |
PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT (30%) 30% of the course is assessed using practical evidence across THREE DIFFERENT SPORTS. To find out more about the practical assessment, click here.

ANALYSIS & EVALUATION COURSEWORK (10%) 10% of the course is coursework based. You will be assessed to Analyse & Evaluate your Performance (AEP) in one sport. To find out more about the coursework assessment, click here.
