Reporting Abuse
WVC take safeguarding very seriously and work closely within the College and the wider Trust to ensure appropriate processes are in place to allow pupils to report sexual abuse concerns freely, knowing these will be taken seriously and dealt with swiftly and appropriately.
We recognise that these issues are complex and sensitive and reach beyond the school gates and into wider society.

You may be aware of the media attention surrounding allegations of sexual abuse and violence in schools and colleges highlighted by the “Everyone’s invited” website and the subsponse, the NSPCC have launched a new dedicated, confidential helpline – Report Abuse in Education - which is available to current or past victims as well as parents, carers or professionals with concerns. The helpline will be open for 6 months and the number is 0800 136 663. It is free and anonymous and will be open Monday to Friday 8am – 10pm and Saturday to SundaDedicated helpline for victims of abuse in schools | NSPCC
